Q:  What the do those tire numbers mean?

A:  The numbers in the tire size refer to its width, aspect ratio, and wheel diameter.
"285-55-R18" means the tire is 285 mm wide, has an aspect ratio (that is, the height divided by the width) of 55%, and fits on a 18" rim. "R" means radial tire. They're all radials nowadays. Speed ratings are usually inserted before the "R." The most common speed ratings are HR (good for 130mph), VR (149 mph), and ZR (more than 149 mph).

Q:  How accurate are your balancing machines?

A:  Our balancing machines balances to grams not ounces to ensure perfect balance.

Q:  What type of balancing weights do you use?

A:  We use only Tape on weights and our installation procedures are such that no weight is visible on your wheel.

Q:  What does offset mean?

A:  Offset is the distance from the mounting surface of the wheel, U.S. the absolute middle of the wheel. Example: a 17 x 8.0 wheel indicates a +40 ET or offset, this means that the mounting surfaces of the wheel is 40mm away from the middle of the 8" portion of the wheel. In effect the higher the ET or offset the further in toward the car the wheel will be placed.
